I first trained and later qualified with Marriage Guidance in 1975 so now have over 35 years experience as a counsellor.

Before setting up my private practice in Exeter I worked in many different settings and agencies during which time I studied and gained a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

I have experience in working with addiction, depression, loss, bereavement, relationships, attachment bonds and sexual issues.

Other qualifications over time include Mindfulness, Inner Child Therapy, Critical Incident Debriefing, Stress Management, Compassionate Mind Therapy, Post Traumatic Stress, Group Facilitating, EMDR and EFT.

As an accredited Supervisor and Hypnotherapist I provide supervision to both student and qualified counsellors and therapists. I also offer therapy to clients referred through StopSO (Specialist treatment for the prevention of sexual offending).

My belief in the process of counselling is firmly held, the relationship between client and counsellor being all important. Confidentiality and trust are invaluable and sufficient time is given to establishing this.
