My name is Rachael Morgan and I qualified as a Clinical Counsellor and Hypnotherapist in 1994. Since then I have dealt with many varied complaints, whether weight-loss, phobias, smoking, etc., although now I specialise in helping with emotional problems, whatever they may entail. I also see couples together during relationship breakups, or separately, here in my home in Hucclecote, Gloucestershire in my annexe.
I am often asked what happens at an appointment with me and I always advise the person to put aside at least a couple of hours, which means between us we have enough time to discuss the problem, including when it first started and what sort of emotions are being experienced, etc.
We will also do a Health Questionnaire at the beginning, which is often extremely helpful to us both, as sometimes it can reveal symptoms that need the help of a GP.
Every problem is treated confidentially here. After the initial half an hour or so, depending on the situation, I will be able to offer advice and suggestions, and ways to help oneself. All these things will have been discussed between us, until there is a comfortable way for the client/patient to feel that they can try my suggestions, before the next session.
